Owned and operated by WV Division of Natural Resources. An excellent float from Clendenin North for those calling Clendenin their home base during their stay on the Elk River.

Paved parking. Est. 14 parking spots. Parking spaces extend upstream for some distance, so your parking spot will dictate whether it is short, medium or long distance from parking to river’s edge.
Directions From I-79
From I-79 exit 19 (Clendenin): Head south on Bufflick Rd toward US-119/Spencer Rd - 482 feet and continue for 2.5 mile, turning right at a stop sign to stay on 119S/Elk River Rd S. Boat launch will be on the left in 1.9 miles after passing through Town of Clendenin.

Access to river: easy. Fenced access site. Designed for trailered boat launch of shallow water vessels. Access has lighting. Entry, parking and ramp are paved. Fenced access site. Automatic gate restricts entry after closing but allows exit at any time. Hours of operation have not been posted.
