Location Description
The Queen Shoals trailhead is at the end of the bridge on Queen Road at the Queen Shoals Creek confluence, very close to the birthplace of the Golden Delicious Apple!
Parking & Features
There is gravel parking beside and behind the former church. There is also public river access from that property. The DNR’s Queen Shoals Public River Access site is nearby.
Directions From I-79
From I-79 exit 19 (Clendenin) (7.8 miles): Head south on US-119 S/Spencer Rd to Clendenin - 2.5 mi. Turn left onto WV-4 N/Elk River Rd - 4.0 mi. Turn right at the bridge onto Queen Rd. Trailhead is at end of bridge on right.
