The intersection of Maywood and Cardinal Streets now features a newly paved parking lot that will serve the Clendenin Trail Head and provide additional parking for the Town. Clendenin Mayor Kay Summers shared, “This is a work in progress. We plan to install a large Clendenin Trail Head sign, complete with a kiosk for brochures and information about local businesses and attractions. There will also be a gazebo, lights, benches, and a bike rack.”

Mayor Summers also announced that Roger and Steve Mullins of Mountaineer Auctions have generously donated an authentic flashing railroad crossing sign to be displayed at the Trail Head. This sign is a tribute to Roger’s wife and Steve’s mother, Shirley Mullins.
